Join us for a memorable evening featuring a classic, French-inspired dinner created by 158 On Main’s celebrated chef, Gerritt Andersen.
In preparing the evening’s menu, Gerritt has tapped into his roots and creativity to take you on a culinary journey through France with a focus on classic techniques paired with local, fresh ingredients and nearly a decade of experience. Hospitable by nature, Gerritt is driven by the opportunity to serve people. Expect to eat your way through a menu steeped in classic French culinary tradition with unique flavors and inspiring stories. Although you won’t see it on this evening’s menu, Gerritt’s favorite classic French dish is Escargot.
At just 32 years old, Chef Gerritt’s curiosity and passion for food have been a driving force throughout his life. His love for cooking and ultimate inspiration to become a chef was influenced by his mother, who turned her own passion for food as a home cook into a successful food blog.
As a graduate of San Antonio’s Culinary Institute of America, Gerritt is a classically French-trained chef with deep experience in fine dining. Chef Gerritt has honed and expanded his talents over nearly a decade working in high-end dining establishments in Minneapolis, California, and Texas. After moving to NC, Chef Gerritt worked at Kindred and headed up their notable pasta program. We are thrilled to have him working with us now as Head Chef at 158 On Main.

Pricing & Details:
Presented family-style at tables of two, four, and six, your 6-course wine dinner includes ingredients sourced from local farmers and producers. A pre-selected wine pairing will compliment and heighten each dish. Chef Gerritt will share stories of inspiration behind each course, and you will also learn how each wine pairing was selected.
This exclusive pre-fixed dinner will be prepared over a wood-fired outdoor oven and grill. Due to the nature of this event, we are only able to accommodate changes due to allergy restrictions.

Price: $135 per guest – Price for the table includes a welcome cocktail, all food, a wine pairing with each course, and gratuity for each guest.
Time: Cocktail hour begins at 5 pm and your dining experience will begin promptly at 6 pm.
